David Paduch
Chairman of the Board, Finance Chair
David Paduch is the Senior Portfolio Manager as well as a Wealth Advisor at UBS Financial Services in Johnson City, TN. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and is the Partner responsible for the teams Portfolio Construction & Analysis, Estate Planning, Life and Long-Term Care Insurance needs. A former Jeremiah School board chair, David currently serves as the Finance Chair for the board.
A native of Johnson City, David graduated from East Tennessee State University with a B.A. in Accounting. David is active in his church and community. David and his wife, Leslie, live in Johnson City with their daughter Allison.
Jo Cullen
Board Member, Executive Director of Jeremiah School
Jo is from England and moved to America in 2008 when her husband was relocated with Eastman. She graduated from the University of York, England, with a Bachelors degree in English and Education. She completed a post grad in Elementary education and went on to teach in elementary schools in England for 16 years. She became a school principal there in 2002. During this time, her younger son was diagnosed with autism. She completed a post grad certificate in Aspergers Syndrome at the University of Sheffield, and also underwent TEACCH training with Professor Gary Mesibov.
Jo is the Executive Director of Jeremiah School, responsible for all operations of the school. She manages faculty, students, curriculum, and liaison with parents. She also works hard on marketing, fundraising, seeking out new students, and generally raising awareness of the school within the community. She lives with her husband and younger son in Johnson City; her elder son is a student at Clemson University.
Heather Cash
Board Member, Secretary to the Board
Heather Cash recently moved from South Florida to East Tennessee after her husband took a job as the new head Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach at Tusculum University. Ross and Heather have been married for nearly 14 years and together they have one unique, out of the box son named Colby who recently turned 11 and is in the fifth grade at Grandview Elementary.
Heather has always had a passion for building relationships and networking with others, trying to look for ways to create a mutually beneficial impact. In addition, she loves creating new and unique ways to support causes she believes in through creative event planning and ideas. Over the last several years, Heather has been one of the lead event organizers for Dancing with the Stars of Palm Beach County as well as a committee member for Alzheimer’s Community Care of South Palm Beach where funds were raised for the Alzheimer’s Association, Alzheimer’s Community Care and The Alzheimer’s Project. Additionally, her team raised funds for Mental Health First Aide, and Palm Beach Counties Meals on Wheels Program.
She feels passionate that every child deserves an education where their strengths and abilities can shine, where they can truly make real connections in life, as well as be taught to be fully integrated as important and valued members of our society. But most importantly, she loves that these children are able to learn about and know our Savior!
Amy Folck
Board Member
Amy graduated with a B.S. in Accounting. She currently resides in Johnson City with her husband and two sons. She has homeschooled her son with Autism for the past 5 years. Amy was in charge of the Angel Tree ministry for 3 years in Indiana.
Mark Fulks
Board Member
Mark Fulks is University Counsel at East Tennessee State University. He provides legal counsel and advice to the University’s President and other members of the University’s administration. He prepares official documents, renders legal options on all matters in higher education law, coordinates university contracts, and serves as the university representative to federal and state civil rights agencies.
Before joining ETSU, Mr. Fulks was an attorney with Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell and Berkowitz, PC., in Johnson City. As a member of the Advocacy Department, he represented clients in financial, commercial, and employment litigation. Mr. Fulks worked with financial institutions and special servicers in a broad array of legal matters, including judicial and non-judicial foreclosures, receiverships, lender liability claims, and guarantor recovery. He also defended employers against claims of discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination.
Mr. Fulks is a seasoned appellate lawyer, having argued more than 45 cases before the Tennessee Supreme Court and more than 300 cases in the Tennessee Court of Appeals, Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. While in private practice, he maintained an active pro bono practice, representing indigent clients before the Tennessee trial and appellate courts in various matters, including divorce, conservatorships, and criminal defense. He has been recognized as an Attorney for Justice by the Tennessee Supreme Court.
Angelica Ares
Board Member
Angelica Ares is from Miami, Florida. She is Cuban-American and is bi-lingual. She graduated Cum Laude from Savannah College of Art & Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.
After graduating from SCAD, Angelica worked as a graphic designer for WRAL-TV in Raleigh, NC and then love drew her to the mountains of East Tennessee. During her career in East Tennessee, she has had the pleasure of working with Creative Energy, Marquee Magazine, Austin & Co. and, most recently VIPSEEN Magazine. Her creative projects include work for clients such as Dr. Enuf, Moody Dunbar, Siemens, and the Blue Plum Festival’s first ever logo design. She is currently working towards her MS degree in Digital Marketing at East Tennessee State University and is the process of starting her own marketing and design company.
Angelica has also served on the PTA board as President, Vice-President, and Secretary of her children’s elementary school. She is very involved in the local Girl Scouts and has been a Girl Scout Troop Leader for over 10 years. She is also the president of the board of directors at the Johnson City Community Theatre and on the advisory council of Create Appalachia.
Thomas Eorgan
Past Chair
Thomas Eorgan is Senior Vice President and Director of Customer Experience for Bank of Tennessee. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President of marketing for digital agency Ntara, and began his career at Country Music Television, where he managed marketing and promotional programs.
Thomas is a graduate of the Johnson City Chamber Leadership 2020 Program, volunteered for the Mountain States Dragon Boat Festival and served on the event committee for several years, and is an active participant in United Way. He is a Deacon at First Christian Church, where he also serves on the television production and parking ministries. He resides in Johnson City with his wife and daughter.
