Tuition Assistance Overview
Jeremiah School offers a tuition assistance program to families enrolling in our school who demonstrate and qualify for need. The level of need is determined by a third party organization FAST (Financial Aid for School Tuition).
It is the desire of Jeremiah School to provide a tuition assistance program which bridges the gap between tuition and what a family can afford. The assistance, intended as a supplement to a family’s resources, is not restricted only to families whose ability to pay tuition is limited, but is also available to those families who may need only a smaller award.
Tuition assistance awards, and the amount of the awards, vary from year to year. The amount of assistance awarded to families is based on the family’s qualifications, and is allocated from available tuition assistance funds.
The process is as follows:
- Annually, the Board of Directors establishes a funding goal for the tuition assistance program.
- The need is published, and the school works with donors and through fundraising events (such as the May Match and DodgeBrawl) to raise the funds to reach the goal.
- Assistance is then awarded based on the funds actually raised during the prior school year.
Assistance will only be awarded to families who have financial accounts in good standing; who have reenrolled their students; paid any student fees that apply; and completed the tuition assistance application online by the designated deadline. Any exceptions are at the discretion of the Jeremiah School Board.
All financial information submitted is confidential. Applications for tuition assistance must be submitted each year for which tuition assistance is requested, and required tax documents MUST be provided to hold any award initially calculated. It is imperative that interested families apply by the May 15, 2019 deadline. Families will be notified of tuition assistance awards by June 14, 2019.
Any applications received after May 15th, 2019 will be awarded according to remaining available funds.
